With a strong focus on education, community integration, individual empowerment, and employment, our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that our clients are able to achieve their goals. Gompers Habilitation Center provides professionally organized and implemented programs of special education, Day Training for Adults, and vocational training and employment placement. We serve more than 300 adults and children in two facilities.
Gompers is proud to be on the cutting edge of technology and innovation for our program participants. Recently, all program rooms were installed with SMART Boards and updated computers, so that our clients can more easily and effectively communicate. Gompers has also implemented an “Artful Minds” program, so that program participants can explore their interests in visual and performing arts. Our facilities include many amenities to enhance the clients’ experiences, including an accessible playground, accessible garden, a client-staffed café, safe and reliable transportation, opportunities to participate in Special Olympics and much more.
