The Greater Phoenix Chamber of
Commerce is proud to present Phoenix Forum: Business
Beyond Our Borders with keynote speaker Kai Ryssdal, host of
American Public Media's Marketplace, on Wednesday, May 19th. For most of
the past two decades, globalization has been the economic buzzword. But in
the past couple of years we've become more aware (painfully so) that global
trade, whether it's T-shirts, a ton of copper or corporate debt, comes with as
many downsides as it does benefits..
Kai's speech will address what our
global trade lessons should be from the Great Recession and Financial Crises of
'08-'09. Where does the U.S. economy, and by extension American companies,
stand now on the global playing field? What are the areas of pitfall and
promise over the next few years? And what can we do to maximize our
opportunity?
Additionally, this event will have two breakout
sessions with local experts on international trade. Act fast -
tickets are on sale now! Get two keynote luncheon tickets for only $100,
or two tickets for $150 for the half day event!.
